Does BlazeMaster CPVC perform reliably in a fire?
Yes. BlazeMaster CPVC is UL listed and FM approved to perform reliably in a fire when installed per its listings.
Rather than burning, BlazeMaster CPVC chars when exposed to flame. That charred outer layer acts as a thermal barrier that helps protect the pipe’s interior and maintain water flow to active sprinkler heads during a fire event.
BlazeMaster CPVC also:
- Has an ignition temperature of 900°F
- Requires a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of 60% to sustain combustion
- Will not burn in a normal atmospheric environment (21% oxygen)
