Introducing BlazeMaster® Fire Protection Systems
Now available in Ireland
Ireland’s built environment is changing fast and so are the expectations for occupant safety. From 2020 to 2024, there were 110 fire fatalities in Ireland; six in ten involved people aged 65+, while smoking-related causes accounted for around a fifth of fatal fires. Domestic chimney fires remain the leading known cause of home fires over the same period, and more than 28,000 incidents had an unknown cause recorded. These realities make early suppression and reliable system performance non-negotiable.
Why choose BlazeMaster CPVC?
BlazeMaster® Fire Protection Systems use pipes and fittings made from CPVC, engineered specifically for fire sprinkler applications. It’s the world’s most specified non-metallic sprinkler material because it’s fast to install, inherently heat and flame-resistant and engineered for long-term performance. Key advantages include:
Ease of Installation
Quick, quiet installation using hand tools and solvent-cemented joints that bond at a molecular level for secure connections
Long Term Corrosion Protection
Superior corrosion resistance (including resistance to MIC) that protects performance over time
Consistent High Flow Performance
Excellent hydraulics (Hazen-Williams C-factor 150 maintained through life), enabling smaller pipe diameters without compromising flow
Lightweight & Low-Impact
Lightweight handling, minimal site disruption and efficient use of service space
The result? Compliant, dependable fire suppression with project efficiency and cost advantages for contractors and clients alike.
Built for Irish compliance
Irish contractors design and install systems to the Building Regulations and the Irish adoption of European sprinkler standards. In March 2024 the Department of Housing published Technical Guidance Document B - Fire Safety Volume 1 for buildings other than dwelling houses. The 2024 edition introduces a dedicated Section for sprinklers and, among other measures, sets out where sprinklers are expected, such as buildings containing flats with the topmost floor above 15m, student accommodation, residential care buildings of two or more storeys, shopping centres and non-residential buildings over 30m.
For design, installation and maintenance, Ireland references NSAI-adopted EN standards:
I.S. EN 12845:2015+A1:2019
Fixed firefighting systems, automatic sprinkler systems (commercial/industrial)
I.S. EN 16925:2018 (with AC:2020)
Automatic residential sprinkler systems (domestic and residential occupancies)
BlazeMaster CPVC has been specified on leading projects globally and is designed to help you meet these Irish codes and standards efficiently, with robust documentation to support approvals.
