Tyco® Rapid Seal Adapter Available for Fire Sprinkler Systems Made with BlazeMaster® CPVC Compound

Simplifying the installation process while ensuring quality connections is beneficial to all concerned. Speeding up the process allows a fire sprinkler system to protect lives and property that much faster while reducing the inconvenience factor for property owners and residents.

The new Tyco® Rapid Seal Adapter – made from BlazeMaster® CPVC compound – is now available in the United Kingdom.

The Rapid Seal adapter enables installers to simply screw a sprinkler head directly into place. Its straight thread adapter design offers a fast, easy and leak-free installation. A gasket housed within the fitting eliminates the need for thread tape or sealant. It also offers flexible positioning for precise sprinkler head alignment.

Installation in Three Easy Steps

The Rapid Seal adapter eliminates the time it takes to wrap sprinkler heads or apply sealant. Installation is performed simply by:

  1. Ensure the sprinkler threads are clean and do not have thread sealant such as tape or paste
  2. Carefully thread the sprinkler into the fitting and hand-tighten until firmly seated
  3. Orient/align the sprinkler as needed by tightening the sprinkler an additional ½ to 1 full turn

Be careful not to over-torque when wrench-tightening as this may damage the fitting and/or sprinkler head. For recessed applications, do not compensate for insufficient sprinkler depth within the escutcheon plate by under or over-tightening the sprinkler. Re-adjust the sprinkler fitting to suit.

More Benefits to Rapid Seal Adapter

Rapid Seal Adapter is brass free, meaning that there is no dezincification in hard water areas. It is also lead free, eliminating any potential concerns in that regard.

Available styles include 90° elbows and straight adapters for 20 mm pipe, and 90° elbows, straight adapters and spigots for 25 mm pipe.

Rapid Seal adapters are UL, NSF, FM and LPCB approved.
