BlazeMaster® Fire Protection Systems was the first CPVC fire sprinkler piping system on the market. For over 30 years, we have worked with our manufacturing partners to develop innovations that enable safer and easier installs, ultimately helping to protect more lives and property.
That’s why we are so excited about the extension and optimized redesign of the Tyco® Rapid Seal Adapter product line, which now features a total of 11 fittings made from BlazeMaster® CPVC non-metallic compound. These head adapters, which eliminate the need for tape and sealant, now have a more compact design, providing contractors a more flexible, easier installation. “We expanded the Rapid Seal product line by adding a new spigot adapter, two tee adapters and four back-to-back fittings,” said Hilary Interrante, global product manager, Johnson Controls. “We also optimized the design of all the adapters for improved ease of use. Most notably, fire sprinkler contractors can fit our new ¾-inch and 1-inch elbow and tee adapters along with concealed sidewall sprinklers in two-by-four walls.”
Additionally, Rapid Seal enables installers to save time and money on top of the savings that BlazeMaster CPVC’s quick, one-step joining process provides. The straight thread adapter design helps to provide an easy, leak-free installation. To install Rapid Seal, all an installer needs to do is thread the sprinkler into the fitting, hand tighten it, then orient the sprinkler with up to one additional turn using a wrench. It’s as easy as that - no tape or dope needed!
