5 Reasons BlazeMaster CPVC is Safety Delivered Smarter

Architects looking to design a safe structure for all of its occupants need to consider how to work smarter, not harder. BlazeMaster fire sprinklers are answering the call for smart, safe fire suppression systems in the UK, but the advantages of CPVC are a lot smarter than you think.

Smarter Standards

BlazeMaster CPVC fire protection systems are the most specified non-metallic sprinkler solutions in the world. They are listed for use in the US against the UL, C-UL and NSF potable water certifications and FM Global approved. They are listed for use in the UK against the LCPB and the  WRAS potable water certification. As a result, their pipes and fittings are approved for use in a range of Ordinary Hazard occupancies, including residential and domestic dwellings, offices, educational buildings, hospitals and hotels.

While it is recognised as the professional standard and is popular, BlazeMaster fire protection system is only sold to installation firms who have third party approvals to install fire sprinklers. Installers are required to complete BlazeMaster training modules and validate their eligibility with a CPVC training card. Quite simply, BlazeMaster does not supply CPVC sprinklers to installers who are not willing to meet the required standard.

Smarter Material

The material itself is crafted to give Architects the smart advantage; CPVC allows you to do more, with less. Its natural resistance to fire allows installers to maintain a strong flow of water, even with smaller pipes than their steel counterparts. CPVC is also lighter, allowing for versatility at the design and installation stage.

CPVC’s safety characteristics are displayed on the inside and outside of the pipe. It forms a charred barrier when exposed to flame, preventing heat from travelling through the pipe’s surface, while the flow of cool water reduces the temperature of the pipe from the inside.

Smarter Environment

The Architects' commitment to the environment has perhaps never been more closely scrutinised. The distribution of sprinkler heads throughout a building also prevents hoses from causing irreparable water damage.

It’s low flammability, and none-existent contribution to flashover, smoke development or flaming droplets has earned BlazeMaster CPVC Bs1d0 status; the highest classification a plastic material can achieve.

Smarter Installation

BlazeMaster CPVC gives Architects a smart advantage on site. When it comes to planning a construction project, delays can mean the difference between success and total failure. CPVC piping does not require the same number of installers, or man-hours, or machinery to get the job done. The solvent cement jointing process can be carried out with just one person carrying a small collection of hand tools. Hot work permits, heavy machinery or electrical power supplies are no longer required to install a smart fire safety system throughout even the most complicated structures.

Smarter Restoration

BlazeMaster CPVC is the smart response to fire safety, which is why more structures, both old and new are experiencing the environmental and economic benefit. The material’s versatility and ease of installation now make fast retrofitting a realistic possibility, so residents across the UK can experience the benefits of fire safety made smarter.
