Online Fire Protection Training Provides Extensive Background for Housing Authorities, Local Authorities and Specifiers

Recent events around the world have brought the need for fire sprinkler protection systems to the fore like never before. For high rise block owners and specifiers in the UK who may be unfamiliar with the advantages of BlazeMaster® CPVC over polypropylene random (PPR) or steel in both new construction and retrofit applications – we’re pleased to provide you with a wealth of information.

First, a Retrofit Fire Protection Guide, specific to UK applications, is available from BlazeMaster Fire Protection Systems. It discusses testing and reliability while illustrating why CPVC is the best choice for new build high rise buildings and retrofits – and why BlazeMaster CPVC is the best choice as opposed to generic CPVC.

But for those who really want to understand BlazeMaster CPVC, we offer the BlazeMaster Fire Protection Systems Online Installation Training Program.

Everything You Need to Know

This seven-part course is available in seven languages and is designed to familiarize you with the history of and facts about BlazeMaster CPVC. It allows the student to work at his or her own pace through the following modules:

  • Standards, codes and approvals
  • Installation best practices
  • Chemical compatibility
  • Cut and join methods
  • Design parameters
  • Special listings and circumstances
  • Practical training exercise

Each module is followed by a brief quiz, and a score of 100 percent is required to pass and move on to the next module. You will be provided with a confirmation of completion once you have successfully navigated the course.

Passage of this course will be of use as you move forward toward deciding on or specifying a fire protection system. The knowledge you will gain will also be useful if and when tenant meetings are held to discuss fire protection system installation; prior knowledge of BlazeMaster CPVC fire protection systems can help position you in terms of subject matter knowledge and build your tenants’ confidence.

The course is not meant to replace the training that all qualified installers of BlazeMaster CPVC should have, such as:

  • Third-party accreditation courses from FIRAS, IFC, BRE, Xact or BAFSA – at least one of which should have been completed by a qualified installer you may be considering
  • Hands-on training from one of our manufacturing partners, Tyco/Johnson Controls and Viking

While installers and contractors who have already completed third-party accreditation courses are encouraged to take this course, it should be viewed as just one part of your training requirements for fire sprinklers in general.

We invite you to register to take the BlazeMaster Fire Protection Systems Online Installation Training Program today.
