Legislation Podcast Series

Join us for a special five-part podcast series in which we discuss the biggest change to happen to UK building legislation in a generation.

As of the 26th November this year, all high rise residential buildings over 11 metres tall are to be fitted with fire sprinklers and wayfinding signage, by law. This will be backed up by incentives for compliance and sanctions for those who do not implement these changes.

For Fire Engineers and Installers, this means an increased workload on every new build and  retrofit project over three meters tall, all over the UK.

But what do the experts think? Over the course of the series, we speak to some of the UK’s leading experts in fire safety, from installation to design and distribution, to campaigners who laid the groundwork for this momentous legislation.

Ronnie King - All Party Parliamentary Fire Safety and Rescue Group

Alan Brinson - European Fire Sprinkler Network

Nigel Chantler - Residential Fire Sprinkler Association

Steve Griffiths - UK Sprinklers

Steve Walker - Hydrotech Fire & Mechanical LTD
