FGG/BM/CZ™ System Compatible Program Adds
New Product to Roster
FireFighter®GL Ready-to-Use Proven Chemically Compatible
CLEVELAND, OH, August 7, 2007 – Lubrizol Advanced Materials, Inc., a subsidiary of The Lubrizol Corporation (NYSE:LZ) announces that its FGG/BM/CZ System Compatible program has expanded again with the addition of FireFighter® GL Ready-to-Use by Noble Company.
FireFighter® GL Ready-to-Use is a glycerin-based antifreeze that is designed specifically for wet, stand-alone, fire sprinkler systems. It has been tested and determined to be chemically compatible with BlazeMaster® CPVC fire sprinkler pipe. FireFighter® GL is used in place of water and other water-like fluids in fire sprinkler systems where:
FireFighter® GL is a fire sprinkler product and is not intended for use with FlowGuard Gold® or Corzan® piping systems.
“We are pleased that FireFighter® GL Ready-to-Use has been added to the FGG/BM/CZ™ System Compatible list,” said Richard M. Maurer, director of sales and marketing, Nobel Company. “We appreciate the opportunity to supply BlazeMaster® CPVC customers with quality antifreeze.”
FireFighter® GL Ready-to-Use is premixed to give -15°F flow and -50°F burst protection. Wholesale distributors throughout the U.S. sell the product. Globally, it is available in 5-, 55- and 275-gallon containers as well as in bulk tank trucks. Address specific installation questions to the Noble Company at 1-800-878-5788 or visit its Web site at www.noblecompany.com.
The FGG/BM/CZ System Compatible Program is designed to test and monitor ancillary products on an ongoing basis to ensure chemical compatibility with these three different CPVC piping systems.
All designated products qualify for the program by undergoing rigorous testing, which assures the product will not fail as a result of chemical incompatibility. Because CPVC products are made with base resins having different molecular weights and varying chlorine contents and compound additives, the FGG/BM/CZ System Compatible Program can verify chemical compatibility only with the products with which they have been tested.
Products in the program display the FGG/BM/CZ System Compatible mark on their label. This mark quickly assures installers that the product is chemically compatible with FlowGuard Gold, Corzan and BlazeMaster CPVC products. Only manufacturers that have passed these specific chemical compatibility tests are able to place the FGG/BM/CZ compatible mark on their product labels.
The FGG/BM/CZ System Compatible Program is the only known program of its kind in the industry designed to increase user confidence and help eliminate the guesswork about which products are chemically compatible. The program is in active use in the United States, Canada, Mexico, 25 European countries, the United Arab Emirates, India and China.
To learn about all the chemical compatible products in the program, call (888) 234-2346 or visit www.flowguardgold.com, www.corzancpvc.com or www.blazemaster.com.
